Lies About the Sentence Given to Israa Jaabis
The claim shared by Israeli propaganda accounts, stating that ‘Israa Jaabis, who was released in the Israel-Hamas prisoner exchange, was arrested for carrying out a bomb attack in 2015,’ is not true.
On October 11, 2015, as Israa Jaabis was on her way to her home in Jerusalem, a gas cylinder in her car exploded, and the car caught fire. Jaabis sustained third-degree burns on 60% of her body, including her face and hands.
Without any evidence, Israeli authorities accused Jaabis of planning a ‘terrorist attack’ and sentenced her to 11 years in prison.
Jaabis, who has been imprisoned in Israel for 7 years, was freed as part of the prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas.⬇️
